I have been creating and performing in some way shape or form since I could walk (which was pretty early on…I’m a fast learner). All of that creative energy was properly tended to and honed into a BFA from Abilene Christian University with an emphasis in acting and technical theater design.
Landing a job at Ballet Austin in 2002 was a dream come true and has paved the way for me to continue to improve and broaden my skill set. You can currently find me there as the Wardrobe Mistress for Ballet Austin II and the Butler Fellows as well as Wardrobe Asst. and Shoe Manager for the main company. While at Ballet Austin, I have had the pleasure of designing several shows including: Bounce, Peter and the Wolf, Wavemakers (Austin Critics Table Nomination), Sprites, Symphony of Clouds and many of the pieces in the BA II repertory. I have designed and built shows outside of Ballet Austin for companies such as Esther’s Follies, Different Stages, The Institution Theater, Trouble Puppet and kidsActing.
Outside of my life as a costumer, I have also performed as a full time company member at Esther’s Follies as the magician’s assistant and am now serving as an understudy for them. I am also a painter, props crafter and karaoke enthusiast.
